BOTOX® and XEOMIN® PRODUCT INFORMATION
Botox® is a prescription medicine for the treatment of frown lines , horizontal forehead lines and crow’s feet round the eyes. Botox® has risks and benefits. Ask your doctor if Botox is right for you. If you have side effects, see your doctor. You will need to pay for Botox® and clinic fees will apply. Botox® treatment lasts about 4 months and further courses of treatment may be necessary. Should only be administered by trained medical professionals. Xeomin® is a Prescription Medicine containing 50, 100 units of incobotulinum Type A, purified Botulinum toxin type A complex for injection. It is used for the treatment of frown lines on the forehead, lateral periorbital lines and horizontal forehead lines in adults. It should be administered only by trained medical professionals. Talk to your specialist about the benefits/risks of this procedure in appearance medicine. Xeomin treatment lasts about four months and further courses of treatment may be necessary. Cautions: people receiving blood thinning medicines, care at the proposed injection sites, pregnancy and lactation. Possible side effects: headache, pain, swelling or infection at injection site, local muscle weakness including drooping eye lids, lack of feeling & nausea. Treatment last for up to 4 months. How does it work?Anti-Wrinkle treatments are administered via an ultra-fine needle into specific areas of the face. These treatments work by blocking nerve signals to the facial muscles, preventing them from contracting. Repeated muscle contractions cause expression lines and wrinkles, and by inhibiting these contractions, Anti-wrinkle treatments can help smooth existing lines and prevent new ones from forming, resulting in a refreshed and natural appearance. Once injected, the muscles relax and decreases in movement to reduce the appearance of lines or wrinkles in the area. You will see your results gradually over 3-7 days following.

When will I see results?While the experience of each person may differ, it usually takes 3-5 days to see the effects. For some, it may take up to 2 weeks to realise the final effects.

How long does it last?The results typically last between 3-5 months from the date of injection. Over time the body metabolises the product leading to the slow return of muscle movement in the treated area. You can choose to maintain your results for longer periods by undergoing periodic maintenance treatments every 3-4 months.

What are the possible side effects?As with most cosmetic injectables, common side effects from injections can include localised tenderness, inflammation, redness, itching, bruising and/or swelling. If you do suffer from these side effects, do not worry, they will disappear within a few days.
